Twenty Years in the Kanak Building
In 2005, the Italian ambassador called Annamaria Forgione with a purpose - to help a Kolkata community earn a living making mozzarella. She agreed, and opened Fire And Ice inside the Kanak Building on Chowringhee Road, just off Park Street, to give that cheese a home.

Today, more than a hundred women in a village called Hogolkuria still make it and bring it here, under an agreement that's run for twenty years.
